Crossbeam Systems The C series
Crossbeam Systems C-Series equipment extends the benefits of Unified Threat Management to extended enterprise deployments. The C-Series is typically deployed in multi-site, remote office configurations or as boundary protection devices between security zones. C-Series devices deliver a flexible combination of the following applications depending on the size of the remote office and the assets to be protected: Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, Anti-virus/Anti-spam, HTTP scanning, URL filtering and XML filtering.

The C-Series provides a full range of scaling and price options. Because of the power of these devices, each one can
scale across a broad spectrum of needs, reducing complex decision making around which box to purchase. For example, the
C2 provides high performance and security at both large and small packet sizes making it ideal for any combination of
services that reside at the remote office, whether VoIP services (small packet orientation) or XML-based services
(tending toward larger packet sizes). In addition, the C-Series contains many security innovations such as the Virtual
Tap, which allows traffic from all ports to be monitored by a single application instance like an IDS sensor.
To scale the installation and maintenance of many C-Series devices, Crossbeam Systems offers its SecureShore management system which provides functions such as updates, patching and backups across 1000 devices from a single console.
